Lada Granta Cross is a front-wheel drive subcompact off-road wagon, which boasts a rather nice design, a normal level of practicality and a solid ground clearance, which makes it almost an ideal choice for the "Russian realities of operation" ... Its main target audience is family people who need " multifunctional vehicle ", and living both in large cities and in the hinterlands ...
The official premiere of Lada Granta Cross took place at the end of August 2018 at the stands of the international auto show in Moscow, but its production began only in May 2019. "All-road" station wagon was the result of modernization (which affected the appearance, interior and technical component) and renaming of "Kalina" of the second incarnation in an identical body version (which eventually ceased to exist).
It will not be difficult to recognize the Lada Granta cross-station wagon against the background of a standard cargo-passenger model - its “all-terrain” essence is given by a black plastic body kit around the perimeter of the body with silver diffusers in the lower part of the front and rear bumpers, increased ground clearance and 15-inch rims original design.
The length of the Lada Granta Cross is 4118 mm, the width reaches 1700 mm, and the height does not exceed 1538 mm. The distance between the wheelsets at the five-door is 2476 mm, and its ground clearance is 198 mm.
In the equipped form, the car weighs from 1125 to 1160 kg, depending on the modification, and its gross weight is 1560 kg.
The interior of the cross-version "Grants" is borrowed from the standard station wagon without major changes - it boasts a nice and fairly modern design and well-thought-out ergonomics, but exclusively with budget materials.
The features of the "all-road" five-door include only gray or orange inserts on the seats and doors, complementing the basic black color, and a slightly modified dashboard.
In terms of cargo and passenger capabilities, Lada Granta Cross completely repeats the base model: the driver and four of his companions can sit in the five-door cabin, and its trunk is designed to carry from 355 to 670 liters of luggage (depending on the position of the rear sofa).
For Lada Granta Cross, two four-cylinder gasoline "aspirated" with an in-line architecture, distributed fuel injection and a variable valve timing system are offered:
- Basic versions are "armed" with a 1.6-liter VAZ-11186 unit with an 8-valve timing, generating 87 horsepower at 5100 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 3800 rpm.
- "Top" versions are equipped with a 16-valve VAZ-21127 engine with a working volume of 1.6 liters, which produces 106 hp. at 5800 rpm and 148 Nm of peak potential at 4000 rpm.
Both motors are combined by default with a 5-speed "mechanics" and a front-wheel drive transmission, but the "senior" version can be optionally equipped with a 5-band "robot" with a sport mode.
Acceleration from standstill to 100 km / h takes 10.8-13.1 seconds for the "off-road" station wagon, and its maximum speed "rests" on 165-178 km / h.
In the combined driving mode, the fuel "appetite" of the car varies from 6.7 to 7.2 liters for each "hundred" of the run.
From a constructive point of view, Lada Granta Cross as a whole repeats the standard "brother": a front-wheel drive "bogie" with a transversely located motor, an independent suspension of the MacPherson type in front and a semi-dependent torsion beam at the rear, rack and pinion steering with electric power, front disc (with ventilation) and rear drum brakes.
At the same time, the cross-station wagon can boast of different shock absorber settings, reinforced silent blocks, modified springs and reconfigured steering.
On the Russian market, Lada Granta Cross can be purchased in three equipment options - "Classic", "Comfort" and "Luxe":
- A base station wagon with an 87-horsepower engine costs from 554,900 rubles, for which you get: one airbag, combined trim, ABS, EBD, BAS, air conditioning, roof rails, two power windows, 15-inch alloy wheels, ERA-GLONASS system, heating and electric drive of mirrors, audio preparation and some other equipment.
- For a five-door in the version "Comfort" you will have to pay from 577,900 rubles, while the version with a 16-valve "four" will cost from 592,900 rubles (additional payment for a "robot" - another 25,000 rubles). The features of such a car include: an airbag for the front passenger, an audio system with four speakers, heated front seats and a standard alarm.
- The "top" modification is equipped with only a 106-horsepower engine, and it will have to pay for it from 618,900 rubles (for a robotic box, you will need to add another 25,000 rubles). Its features are: fog lights, rear power windows, light and rain sensors, single-zone climate control, rear parking sensors, heated windshield and cruise control.
