The three-volume of the fourth "edition" appeared in all its glory on April 10, 2018 - as part of the so-called pre-premiere screening in China (although the rest of the "family members" made their debut in Europe).

After the “change of generations” the car changed in all directions - it received a redrawn design, became larger and lighter, “moved” to a new global “trolley” and offered a wide range of technological equipment.

Looks "fourth" Ford Focus Sedan attractive, moderately solid, proportional and dynamic.

In front, it echoes the hatchback of the same name, but in profile it demonstrates a three-volume outline with a smoothly falling roof that flows into a small "tail" of the trunk, and at the back it boasts a strong "physique" with beautiful lanterns and a "curly" bumper.

The overall dimensions of the three-volume "Focus" have not yet been disclosed, but it is expected that in all respects it will surpass its predecessor by approximately the same parameters as the "brothers" in the family.

The interior of the fourth generation Ford Focus sedan is borrowed from the hatchback without any changes - inside it has a beautiful design, worked out taking into account modern trends, thoughtful ergonomics and a solid level of workmanship.

The sedan's interior is able to accommodate a driver with four adult companions, but it is not known how spacious it is in the trunk.

In the Chinese market, only one gasoline unit is currently announced for the three-volume "Focus" - this is a four-cylinder petrol EcoBoost with a volume of 1.5 liters with a turbocharger and direct injection, generating 182 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 240 Nm of torque at 1600-5000 rpm minute.

However, it is assumed that, in general, the car will borrow the range of power plants and transmissions from the five-door, that is, under its hood, three- and four-cylinder petrol engines of 1.0-1.5 liters, developing 95-182 hp, and diesel “fours” with a volume 1.5-2.0 liters, which produce 95-150 hp.

Engines will be docked with 6-speed "mechanics" or 8-band "automatic" and front-wheel drive transmission.

At the heart of the 4th generation Ford Focus sedan is the global 'C2' architecture with McPherson-type independent suspension at the front.

Most likely, he (like the five-door "brothers") will receive two options for the rear suspension, depending on the power: a semi-independent design with a torsion beam or a multi-link (in this case, it is possible to install adaptive shock absorbers).

The steering complex of the car is formed by a rack and pinion mechanism and an electric power steering, and the braking system is formed by disc devices "in a circle" (ventilated at the front) and electronic "assistants".

Whether the three-volume "Focus" of the fourth incarnation will reach the Russian market (and when it can happen for sure) is still not known for certain. In China (and possibly in other countries), sales of the car will start in the summer of 2018. In terms of equipment, the sedan will repeat the hatchback.
