In April 2013, at a major international auto show in Shanghai, the Chinese company Great Wall Motors held an official presentation of its new four-door pickup truck named Wingle 6 - an updated version of the model with the index "5", which received a modern exterior and interior, increased external dimensions and more powerful engines. The car entered the series in 2014, at the same time its sales started in the Chinese market.

The exterior of the Great Wall Wingle 6 is truly attractive and modern, and the front end is completely decorated with a hint of presentability - a chrome "shield" of the radiator grille of a hexagonal shape, stylish spotlights and a raised bumper. Yes, and from other angles, the pickup is not a miss - a harmonious profile with embossed rounded-square wheel arches and a characteristic stern with vertical lanterns and a rectangular side.

In terms of dimensions, the "sixth Wingle" car is large: 5345 mm in length, of which 3200 mm is reserved for the distance between the axles, 1800 mm in width and 1760 mm in height. In the "combat" state, the Chinese "truck" weighs from 1810 to 1890 kg, depending on the modification, and its "belly" is separated from the road by 188 mm ground clearance.

The interior design of the Great Wall Wingle 6 makes a good impression - a four-spoke multifunction steering wheel, two “bells” and an on-board computer display in the instrument cluster and a stylish front panel, in the center of which is an 8-inch “TV” of the multimedia center (in the “base” is a 2DIN radio tape recorder) and a trio of air conditioner washers. It seems that this is not a utilitarian pickup truck, but a modern passenger car. Inside the "Chinese", good-quality finishing materials are used, and the build quality is at a decent level.

For the front riders, the car has comfortable seats with an optimal profile and sufficient adjustment ranges. The three-seater rear sofa provides the necessary space for even three riders, but the vertical back does not add convenience.

The Great Wall Wingle 6 onboard platform has the following dimensions: 1545 mm in length, 1460 mm in width and 480 mm in height (the spare wheel is suspended under the bottom to save space). The carrying capacity of the pickup, excluding the driver and passengers, is 625 kg.

Specifications. The base engine for the "truck" from the Middle Kingdom is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with direct fuel injection and a turbocharging system, the output of which has 143 horsepower at 4000 rpm and 305 Nm of peak thrust at 1800-2800 rpm. It is aggregated with a 6-speed "mechanics", as well as rear or rigidly connected all-wheel drive, as a result of which it provides the "Wingle" with a maximum speed of 140 km / h and an average consumption of diesel fuel at the level of 7.2-7.3 liters for every "hundred" in mixed cycle.

In addition, the car is equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder petrol "aspirated" with multi-point fuel supply and 16-valve timing, giving 126 "mares" at 5250 rpm and 205 Nm of torque at 2500-3000 rpm. Such a motor works in conjunction with a five-speed manual gearbox, rear drive wheels or an all-wheel drive transmission. The capabilities of the Wingle 6 on gasoline do not exceed 140 km / h, and fuel consumption varies from 10.4 to 10.8 liters in combined conditions.

The base for the Great Wall Wingle 6 is a classic ladder-type frame with independent suspension on double A-arms, located in parallel, front and dependent configuration with leaf springs at the rear.
By default, the car is equipped with a hydraulic booster integrated in the rack and pinion steering gear and disc brakes on all wheels (ventilated at the front) with ABS and EBD.

Options and prices. In the Chinese market, the "sixth Wingle" is sold at prices ranging from 86,800 to 124,800 yuan (~ 955,000 - 1,370,000 rubles at the current exchange rate). The list of standard equipment of the pickup includes front airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels, multifunction steering wheel, ABS, EBD, ESP, air conditioning, heated front seats, an audio system with six speakers, rain and light sensors and other modern "chips".
