The versatile "sportsman" Subaru Levorg in September 2015 celebrated the European premiere at the International Auto Show in Frankfurt. At the same time, the history of the model began back in 2013, when the concept of the same name was presented at an exhibition in Tokyo. Already this year, the cargo-passenger "Japanese" will go on sale in the markets of European countries, although at home it has been available to buyers since the summer of 2014.
Outside, Subaru Levorg has a stylish and smart appearance, reminiscent of the design of other models of the brand. The front part looks the most "predatory" - the formidable look of lighting equipment with U-shaped LED brackets for running lights, a trapezoid of the radiator grille and a raised hood with a hump-air duct, although the stern is no less aggressively decorated - beautiful lights, a diffuser in the rear bumper and a pair of "trunks »Exhaust system. The dynamic shape of the "shed" with a long bonnet, heaped roof pillars and "powerful" stamping emphasize its sporty character.
In terms of overall dimensions, Levorg is a representative of the mid-size class "D": length - 4690 mm, height - 1485 mm, width - 1780 mm with a wheelbase of 2650 mm. The station wagon stretches over the roadway at a height of 130 mm, and its curb weight does not exceed 1520-1560 kg, depending on the modification.
Inside the cargo-passenger "sportsman" from Subaru, there is a close relationship with other models of the brand. A compact multifunctional steering wheel, slightly cropped at the bottom, a classic instrument panel with a 3.5-inch "window" of the on-board computer, and a "two-story" center console with two screens (one displays the readings of the trip computer, and the second is responsible for multimedia functions) and three "washers »Climate system - the interior looks stylish and interesting.
The driver's disposition of Subaru Levorg is emphasized by the front seats with solid lateral support rollers and dense padding, and the driver's "saddle" can be supplemented with electric adjustments in 8 or 10 directions.
In the rear seats there is a comfortable sofa with a comfortable profile and ample space on all fronts.
But, first of all, "Levorg" is a full-fledged station wagon with a spacious cargo compartment - 522 liters in the stowed position. The second row fits into a flat area in different-sized parts, which makes it possible to increase the usable volume up to 1446 liters.
Specifications. For Subaru Levorg, there are two gasoline "turbo-fours" with opposed cylinders and direct fuel injection:
- "Junior" version - 1.6-liter engine, developing 170 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 250 Nm of torque at 4800 rpm,
- "Senior" - a unit with a volume of 2.0 liters, the output of which has 300 "mares" at 5600 rpm and 400 Nm of peak thrust at 2000-4800 rpm.
Both power plants are combined exclusively with a continuously variable variator Lineartronic and an all-wheel drive system with an asymmetric center differential (by default, the moment is directed to the wheels in a 60/40 ratio in favor of the front axle).
The sports wagon sprints to the first "hundred" after 5.5-8.8 seconds (depending on the power plant), after which it develops over 210 km / h to its maximum. "According to the passport" the average fuel consumption in the combined cycle varies from 6.1 to 8.3 liters, depending on the modification.
At the heart of "Levorg" is a platform from the fourth generation Subaru Impreza, which implies a longitudinal engine arrangement. The chassis on the cargo-passenger "sportsman" is completely independent: the classic McPherson struts are installed in the front, the architecture on double wishbones at the rear. An electric amplifier is introduced into the rack and pinion steering mechanism, and all wheels are aggregated with powerful brakes (the front ones have ventilation) with the functions of ABS, EBD and others.
Options and prices. It is not worth waiting for the arrival of Subaru Levorg on the Russian market - we already have an Outback SUV of a similar external size on sale. But in Europe, the station wagon will enter the market in 2015 at an initial price of 28,990 euros.
As for the standard and additional equipment, here the "Japanese" is equipped with everything you need: seven airbags, an adaptive "cruise", a climate system, a multimedia complex with a 7-inch touchscreen display, a head unit, sports front seats, power accessories, and a large number of modern security technologies.
