The Trumpchi GA5 mid-size sedan made an official premiere at the 2010 Guangzhou Motor Show, but its presentation in the person of the Trumpche Concept could be seen a little earlier - at the Beijing International Auto Show in the spring of the same year. If the car has been available at home for several years already, then its sales in Russia should begin in the summer of 2015.
The exterior of the GA5 sedan is endowed with modern outlines, which, together with rather large proportions, create an interesting and moderately solid look.
In terms of its external dimensions, the Chinese four-door fits into the standards of the European D-class: 4800 mm in length, 1819 mm in width and 1484 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2710 mm, and the ground clearance (clearance) is 121 mm. In running order, the car weighs from 1435 to 1520 kilograms, depending on the modification.
The interior of the sedan looks pretty, but it clearly lacks solidity. It is decorated in a typical style for cars from the Middle Kingdom - a four-spoke multi-steering wheel, a laconic instrument panel and a massive console in the center with a large display and an air conditioning unit.
The front seats of the Trumpchi GA5 are equipped with well-profiled seats with electric adjustments, the rear sofa can easily accommodate three adult riders with the necessary space on all fronts.
The volume of the luggage compartment in the stowed state is 500 liters, the back of the "gallery" is folded to increase the capacity.
Specifications. For the three-volume, two four-cylinder gasoline "aspirated" are offered: a 1.8-liter unit, generating 144 horsepower and 167 Nm of torque at 4750 rpm, and a 2.0-liter engine, the output of which is 147 "horses" and 187 Nm of thrust at 4500 rpm / minute.
Five-speed gearboxes - "mechanics" and "automatic" with a sport mode.
In mixed mode "GA5" costs 8.3-9.1 liters of gasoline.
At the heart of the Chinese sedan is a platform from the Alfa Romeo 166 with independent suspension on paired wishbones at the front and a multi-link at the rear.
The power steering is hydraulic, the brakes are disc brakes on each of the four wheels with ABS and EBD.
Options and prices. The GAC Trumpchi GA5 should reach the Russian market in the summer of 2015, prices are still unknown.
In China, the car is offered at a price of 105,800 to 219,300 yuan, and by default the simplest version is equipped with four power windows, air conditioning, parking sensors, PTF, electrically adjustable mirrors, a six-speaker audio system and fabric interior trim.
